Snake Agate

Snake agates are found in the area around the town Iraí in south Brazilian state Rio Grande do Sul. Agates occure in the sediments from Cenozoic era. They form flat chalcedony formations covered with tiny rock crystal crystals. The crystals are very shiny with velvet look. This collection comes from the year 2006.
